DNY Recommends Diana Reyna for New York Lieutenant Governor

It’s election week in New York, and it’s critical that you exercise your right to vote. Here is our recommendation for the lieutenant governor race, based on weeks of study and facts.

DNY recommends Diana Reyna for New York Lieutenant Governor.

Diana is a common-sense Democrat with over 22 years of experience in public service, and if elected, will become the state’s first Latina lieutenant governor.

Diana’s career began in New York City Council, where she served for twelve productive years as a representative of the multiculturality of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Ridgewood in Queens. Diana focused on combating crime by lowering gang violence, increasing employment possibilities, developing more affordable housing, and increasing funding for education programs for kids and seniors. She was also very successful in the multi-faceted position of Deputy Brooklyn Borough President for Eric Adams, where she served from 2014 until 2017. As Deputy Borough President, Diana chaired important cabinet sessions, assisted with annual budgets, and monitored the provision of city services to seek best practices and deliver for her constituents.

Diana’s activities in promoting affordable housing, economic development, expanding educational equity, and seeking environmental justice earned her widespread attention. She is dedicated to fulfilling the responsibilities of her office.

If you want change, you must vote in the June primary. We all know that the primary lead is likely to become the general election winner. Do not delay. Early voting is June 18-26, with election day on June 28.
